Yellowknife’s Aurora Ukrainian Dancers proudly present their 2011 year end recital. Join us for a night of lively music and colourful dances. Cheer for our youngest dancers as they try out their new steps. Applaud our graduating dancers who are taking their first steps in the red boots of our adult troupe. Enjoy our exploration of the four seasons through the story of Malanka. Join us in our celebration of the last days of the winter and the promise of spring!

The Aurora Ukrainian Dancers have been a part of Yellowknife’s artistic and cultural life for over 30 years. Along with our parent organization, the Yellowknife Ukrainian Association, the Aurora Ukrainian Dancers strive to promote and preserve Canada’s Ukrainian and multicultural heritage.

Dates: March 11 and 12

Times: Doors open at 6:30, Show starts at 7:00

Tickets: $15 per person. All ages charged the same rate.

Malanka

 

Every year the Aurora Ukrainian Dancers help to bring in the New Year by performing at Malanka which is the Ukrainian New Year's Eve.  The entire dance troop including the children perform for the Yellowknife Ukrainian Association

Every spring the Aurora Ukrainian Dancers perform for two days at the Northern Arts & Cultural Centre.  The dance troop learn and practise new dances and create new costumes for the spring performances
