Hello everyone,
We hope you had a great summer and are ready to dance!
We are taking a different approach to our dance classes this year by splitting the dance year into 2 semesters.

 First Semester - September 7 to January 15 - $165 per dancer.

There will be two performances during this semester; Christmas (December) and Malanka (January).  At mid semester we will decide which group will be dancing for each performance.

Classes will be as follows:

Tuesday

6-6:45 - novice (ages 4/5)

6:50-7:50 - juniors (8/9)

7:55-9:30 - *teens (13-18)

Thursday

6:30-7:15 - beginners (6/7)

7:20-8:20 - intermediate & seniors (10-12)

8:25-9:45 - *adults (19+)

Second Semester - January 18 to March 26 - $110 per dancer.

The main performance for this semester is the final concert on March 25 and 26.  This weekend is in the middle of Spring Break so if dancers know that they are going to be out of town at this time they can choose not to sign up for the second semester.

The class break down would be the same as the first semester with the probability of adding some Saturday practices in March to prepare for the concert.

*If needed, we will add another dance night for a teen/adult mixed class.

Registration will be 7-9pm on September 02 at the Performer's Studio.  If anyone needs new slippers let us know at registration time so we can take measurements and place an order ASAP.

See you there!

Hi Everyone,

I would like to place an early order for slippers, leotards, tights, dance pants (for the boys), etc. in order to beat the September rush at the dance supply store. If you would like to place an order, please let me know by Friday, August 28th.

If you would like to order new shoes, please trace your dancer's foot on a sheet of paper and drop it off with me at Unit 38, Diamond Point townhouses on Williams Avenue (around the corner from St. Joe's). If I am not home, just slip it under the doormat.

If you would like to order anything else, please e-mail me or drop by my house with a list.

When ordering clothes, please remember that ballerinas are tiny and your dancer may need a larger size than she or he normally wears. For example, I usually wear an adult size small, but I wear an adult medium leotard and tights.

_Youth Girls_

- leotards (short sleeve, long sleeve, or sleeveless)

- tights (footed, footless or convertible)

- ballet slippers or jazz shoes (jazz oxfords) - black only

_Youth Boys_

- dance pants

- ballet slippers or jazz shoes (jazz oxfords) - black only

_Adult Ladies_

- leotards (short sleeve, long sleeve, or sleeveless)

- tights (footed, footless or convertible)

- ballet slippers, jazz shoes (jazz oxfords), character shoe, or Bloch teacher's shoe (the ballet slipper with a heel) - black only

I will be ordering from Harlequin Costume and Dance in Winnipeg. If you want to check out their stock, please visit their website:

http://dancewearhouse.com/. Unless you give me instructions otherwise, I will be ordering the lowest price shoes, leotards, etc. in black.

Please call me at 669-0928 or e-mail
tbelton@theedge.ca if you have any questions.

Hello,

Just a note to let you know that registration for the 2009-2010 dance year will be Thursday, September 3 from 7-9pm at the Performer's Studio (13 Coronation Drive).

Class times will remain the same as last year.  The youth dancers (4-12) will practice on Saturday mornings.  Once we have a good idea of how many dancers we have, we'll split this age group up.  The teen/adult (13+) group will practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7-9pm.

Classes will start September 8 (teens/adults) and September 12 (youth) and will wind up the last week of March.  Concert this year is March 27-28, 2010.  Registration cost is $275 per dancer and $125 for each additional family member.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.  FYI - I will be out of town until August 25.

Thanks!

DonnaMarie
